seatGEN 3.0 - More Than Seating Charts
Enhanced Student-Centered Teaching for Today's Environment
Comprehensive Classroom Management System in the Cloud
With enrollment, student, course, and faculty data pulled in from our Canvas integration and other required sources, seatGEN 3.0 assists faculty and faculty assistants to improve classroom management, increase student engagement, and enhance student-centered teaching.
With optional features, such as Enhanced Student Profiles, Socially-Distanced Seating, and Automated Attendance Tracking, schools can only pay for what they need.
Socially-Distanced Seating
Create multiple classroom layout versions in different patterns to block seats from being chosen either through Student Self-Seating, Automatic Seat Assignment, or manual seating. Easily generate Contact Tracing reports.
Enhanced Student Profiles
Students can record their names, indicate pronouns, and preferred names, and other information for faculty, staff and administrators to access - comes in very handy when announcing student names at commencement and award ceremonies. Students can also self-seat, similar to choosing a seat when booking a flight.
Automated Attendance Tracking
Highly-customizable solution that is utilizes class schedules. Students record attendance (and, optionally, confirm mask-wearing), at the beginning and end (and/or middle) of class via email or text. Within set time limits, students must enter a code or other information to verify attendance. Capture attendance of students attending both in-class or via Zoom (especially for those attending Zoom in groups using a single student's login).
Canvas & Zoom Integration
Launch your Zoom class directly from seatGEN's Canvas Integration.
seatGEN 3.0 - Standard Features
- Seating Charts
- Flash Card Game
- Tent Cards, Flash Cards, Photo Rosters
- Attendance Tracking
- Participation Tracking
- One-Click Assigned Seating
- Create Cold Call Lists
Other Features:
- It is a photo directory for all students (there’s even an optional Booklet Print feature) that can be shared in print or electronically with administrative departments (student affairs, financial aid, career services, or anyone who meets with students).
- Ad Hoc groups can be created. For example, say the Dean (or career services or student affairs) is meeting with a group of students. An Ad Hoc group can be created, and a photo “roster” sent to the Dean to put names to faces, and also get some background information on the students – pronoun, home town, undergrad, moot/mock/law review, student orgs, etc.
- Student Organizations, Law Review, SBA, etc., can each have a photo directory.
- Faculty (or their assistants) can track attendance and class participation through the application.
- Faculty can:
- permit students to “self-seat,” or
- assign seats before the semester starts to assure balance in the classroom, or
- assign seats alphabetically, reverse alphabetically, or randomly, or
- follow the traditional method of handing out a blank seating chart where students write their names and the seating chart is created later.
